WE believe that God is a God of love, who lovingly and graciously accepts people as they are, yet who also calls them to change their lives to reflect the service, sacrifice, and character of Jesus.

 

We believe that in the Bible, God tells us that He loves us and wants to be our friend.  He also tells us that we pursue our relationship with God through Jesus Christ, and that only Jesus can make our relationship with God work right. (I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”  John 14:6)

 

We believe that the Bible is God’s truthful and reliable Word.  We believe that the Bible is relevant for every age and era, and as such, informs us about what God wants us to believe and how God wants us to live.

 

We believe that God made the world and people to be in relationship with Him.  The world became a broken place when people rebelled against God and wanted to become their own boss.

 

We believe that Jesus is God who became man; that he died to reconnect us with God; and that, having risen from the dead, He lives to help us live out His mission in our lives, and invites us, as his followers, to be part of bringing hope and healing to the world.

Concordia holds to the faith of the historic Christian Church, as summarized in the Apostles Creed.  Our denominational roots are in the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.
